About the National Pilot Project
Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) Pilot Project: Local Guide & Content Enhancement
Supported by the Japan Tourism Agency (JTA), this national pilot project aims to elevate regional tourism in Eastern Tottori by seamlessly connecting high-value local experiences with a sustainable, well-trained network of local guides. By offering deeper storytelling around local history, nature, and rural culture, the initiative enhances overall guide quality to boost traveler satisfaction and regional economic impact. Crucially, by introducing accessible entry-level onboarding models, the project lowers barriers for new local guides, establishing a scalable business framework that fosters a healthy, long-term cycle between tourism and community growth.
