Explore three distinct, breathtaking cascades nestled within the valley:

  • Deai Falls (Deai-no-Taki / "Meeting Waterfall"): Where two cascading streams converge into a turquoise natural basin.

  • Ooshika Falls (Ooshika-taki / "Great Deer Waterfall"): A dramatic, misty plunge surrounded by rock face and dense foliage.

09:30 | Pick-Up at Tanhi Station (Wakasa Railway)

Meet our driver at Tanhi Station for a scenic 20-minute shuttle ride up into the mountain valley.

10:00 | Arrival at Harto Furusato no Mori & Orientation

Gear check, brief safety walk-through, and receiving your sensory kit (magnifying loupe and optional stream-walking water shoes).

10:15 | Moss & Forest Therapy Walk

Enter the quiet beech and Katsura tree canopy. Kneel down to examine intricate moss ecosystems with your loupe lens and take deep, guided breathing breaks under the leaves.

11:00 | Exploring the Trio of Waterfalls

  • Deai Falls: Hand-dipping water temperature test and stream wading.

  • Ooshika Falls: Photo stop and acoustic listening session by the mist.

  • Unryu Falls: Relaxing break amidst the mountain spray.

12:15 | "Story of Water" Tasting Break

Enjoy a relaxing refreshment featuring juice or treats made from local 20th Century Pears (Nijusseiki Nashi) while your guide shares how snowmelt filters through the earth to feed Tottori's 10 local sake breweries.

13:00 | Return to Base & Debrief

Head back to Harto Furusato no Mori to rest, wash up, and collect souvenirs or trail notes.

13:30 | Free Shuttle Transfer to Tanhi Station

Board the return shuttle back to Tanhi Station to connect with the nostalgic Wakasa Railway train line.
