HIKE THE JAPAN TRAIL
Tour Overview
Step onto a highlighted section of the JAPAN TRAIL—Japan’s premier national long-distance walking network traversing the nation's most breathtaking spine. Located in Tottori Prefecture within the San’in Kaigan UNESCO Global Geopark, this day-trek immerses you in the pristine, deep-green canopy of Mt. Oginosen’s virgin beech forest before descending into a dramatic, sculpted river valley.
The climax—a true grand finale—brings you face-to-face with Amedaki Falls, officially designated one of "Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls." Plunging 85 meters down vertical walls of hexagonal basalt columnar joints, Amedaki is far more than a scenic wonder: it is a raw, thunderous testament to the violent volcanic forces that shaped the Japanese archipelago millions of years ago.
